Mission Statement
Mission: CABR serves the needs of its members by enhancing the opportunity for all members to conduct business cooperatively, professionally, ethically and profitably. CABR increases the value the public places on the services of a REALTOR® by promoting the benefits of owning real estate.
Vision: CABR is the leading regional force in safeguarding and promoting the interest of REALTORS® in preserving private property rights and in influencing and shaping the industry.
The Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors® is an association of professionals specializing in residential and commercial real estate. Our diverse membership is comprised of Realtors® with the professional expertise to meet your real estate needs, whether it’s your first home or inquiring about office space for your company. Members of our Board adhere to a strict Code of Ethics, which maintains that a high standard of conduct will be met in all activities.
An array of services are offered by the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors® to assist members in fulfilling the mission of service to clients and customers. Perhaps the best known feature is the operation of the Multiple Listing Service of Greater Cincinnati, which is a comprehensive listing of real estate available for purchase or lease in the marketplace. Our Board was one of the first in the nation to make the popular MLS available for viewing on the Internet. An inventory of more than 10,000 properties is currently online, ready for your viewing through your Realtor. The home of your dreams is only a click away!
Additionally, the Board provides its members with contracts and forms to ease the real estate transaction, ensuring that the rights of all parties are addressed. Should a dispute arise between our members and/or the public, the Board has established procedures to conduct professional standards and arbitration hearings if the situation warrants.
Our membership stays abreast of the latest industry advances by completing advance education courses on a host of topics – from technology to standard contract writing. Ohio real estate licensees are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education every three (3) years to keep their license active.
Through a strong partnership with the Ohio Association of Realtors® and National Association of Realtors®, members are able to further their objectives throughout the state and nation.
Realtors® are an effective voice for real estate, protecting the right to own, transfer and use real property. An effective legislative program benefits all property owners at all levels of government. As a result of Realtor® participation and involvement in the legislative arena, property owners benefit from an environment that cherishes one of our inherent rights – the right of private property.
The Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors® strives to promote and develop a continued pride and interest in the home ownership process, paying special attention to fair housing issues, by partnering with interested community councils, community organizations and special interest groups within our jurisdiction.
Since its inception in 1888, the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors® has become the largest professional trade association in the area.
