Committees
Budget & Finance Committee
Prepares the annual CABR and MLS budgets, and meets quarterly to recommend dues amounts, capital expenditures and budget modifications to the Directors.
Business Technology Committee
Researches and report/demonstrate technological products and services to the general membership at least 2 times year.
Circle of Excellence Committee
Administers the Board’s Circle of Excellence Club, including enforcement of the rules, selection of awards and publicity methods.
Contracts/Forms Committee
Communications / PR Committee
Promote the professional expertise of REALTORS® as well as foster general membership awareness and understanding of the issues, activities and interests of the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors®/MLS through various forms of communication.
Education Committee
Provides a primary source of quality and timely educational opportunities for the regional real estate industry. The committee oversees educational programming to meet members’ needs in the areas of continuing education requirements, technological needs and professional designations or certifications.
Equal Opportunity/Diversity Committee
Creates an environment of education, information and relationships necessary to provide the membership of the Board with the skills and tools needed to serve a diverse society and ensure equal housing opportunities for all.
Golf Outing Committee
Plans the annual Golf Outing for the membership. Solicit sponsors for this event.
Grievance Advisory Committee
Assists the Board in determining if an arbitration matter or ethics case should be heard by the Arbitration or Professional Standards Committees.
Legislative Committee
Studies legislation being considered locally, statewide and nationally that affects property owners and Board members. Conducts functions to foster a good working relationship with our elected officials.
Membership Services Committee
Recommends new Board services and products that are beneficial for members as viable business products and/or result in cost savings for members. Coordinates membership drive. Develops promotional items to foster overall membership growth and retention.
Professional Standards Committee
Hears and decides complaints against REALTOR® involving alleged violations of Code of Ethics or the Board Constitution. Hears and decides monetary business disputes between REALTORS® of different firms and REALTORS® and their clients.
Past Presidents Advisory Committee
Serves as the Nominating Committee, reviews the Board’s Constitution to determine if any changes should be recommended to the Board of Directors and performs any other activity as assigned by the Board President or the Board of Directors.
REALTOR®/Builder Committee
Improves the income potential for REALTORS® and Builders through joint marketing, and sponsors meetings/educational sessions and reviews annually the Realtor/Builder Guidelines.
REALTOR®/Lawyer Committee
Meets periodically with a like committee from the Bar Association to review areas of concern that arise between the two groups. Monitors and promotes the Earnest Money Arbitration program.
REALTOR®/Lender Committee
The committee strives to forge an improved working relationship with the mortgage industry.
REALTOR®-of-the-Year Committee
Reviews resumes of candidates for “REALTOR®-of-the-Year (management)” and
“REALTOR®/Salesperson-of-the-Year (sales)”, and selects the winners.
RPAC Committee
Implements the annual RPAC fund-raising drive, prepares candidates questionnaire and interviews candidates for financial RPAC contributions, and considers issues for RPAC consideration.
Young Professionals Network
Multiple Listing Service of Greater Cincinnati
MLS Operations Committee
Develops and enforces procedures and governing rules to maintain a high quality of services provided by MLS. Reviews recommendations from MLS Users Committee for adoption.
MLS Users Committee
Evaluates alternative services and modifications to the MLS computer system in an effort to enhance the MLS system for everyday REALTOR® usage.
MLS Lockbox Committee
Researches lockbox vendors for potential usage in Greater Cincinnati. Works with selected vendor to develop ongoing communication with members who use the lockbox system. Sets policies for lockbox/keypad usage.
MLS Forum
Meets 2-3 times yearly to develop new ideas that may be considered by the MLS Users Committee, MLS Operations Committee and/or MLS Lockbox Committee.
