The Home Ownership Center of Greater Cincinnati is the one-stop-shop for families with home ownership related questions.

When a family is interested in buying a home, we help them get ready by providing free homebuyer training classes. These classes allow the families to learn first hand from professionals such as lenders, REALTORS®, home inspectors, title agencies and insurance agencies. The Home Ownership Center also offers Financial Fitness classes and individual counseling, during which customers can review their credit report with a homebuyer counselor, and receive budgeting and in-depth home ownership training.

Once someone is ready to purchase a home, The Home Ownership Center can help through its many partnerships with lenders and organizations. This assistance can consist of finding the best mortgage product, or even downpayment assistance. There are several downpayment assistance programs available with assistance between $2,000 and $7,500. At the Home Ownership Center, we also help current homeowners. They can come to our free home maintenance classes. These classes are offered on Monday nights and consist of theoretical and hands-on classes. During the theoretical class, participants learn how to set up a home maintenance plan and when to call a professional. The hands-on classes have 3 different topics: plumbing, wall repair and electric.

Current homeowners can also take advantage of our refinance programs, foreclosure prevention programs and home improvement programs. Our home improvement loans are currently between 1% and 4%! We don’t only provide the loan, but we walk the customer through the entire process and monitor the construction work. This is for Cincinnati homeowners only. Income restrictions apply.
