Gov’t Affairs

Welcome

Your membership in the Cincinnati Area Board of REALTORS® makes you a part of one of the most powerful and influential lobbying efforts in the country.

Every day, CABR staff and your fellow REALTOR® leaders work with lawmakers and regulators—at the local, state and federal levels—advocating on behalf of property owners, representing your industry and protecting your best interests as a real estate professional.

Some local issues include preventing county Transfer Tax increases and fighting for continuation of the Property Tax Rollback in the City of Cincinnati—while other issues occur on a national scale—such as the Homebuyer Tax Credit or defense of the Mortgage Interest Deduction.

It’s not just about protecting your bottom line. Your Government Affairs team is always working to protect private property rights, create affordable housing opportunities, encourage smart growth and promote fair housing.

Active engagement in the political process is the right of every citizen, but it is a responsibility of every REALTOR®. Get involved and make a difference today.
