What is a Realtor?

A REALTOR is a real estate licensee who's decided to take an extra step toward professionalism and high ethical standards.  That step: joining the local, state and national Associations of REALTORS.

You see, not all real estate licensees are REALTORS, although many people confuse the terms.

Just as many doctors join the American Medical Association and most attorneys join the American Bar Association, most real estate licensees join their local boards, the Ohio Association of REALTORS and the National Association of REALTORS.

In choosing to join these prestigious groups, real estate licensees also are agreeing to abide by a strict Code of Ethics.  The code ensures that no matter where you live in the United States, when you work with a REALTOR, you're working with professionals who are putting your needs ahead of their own.
