Senate Passes Tax Reform Bill. Now What?

Posted on: December 4th, 2017 by Andrew Clark No Comments

What’s Happening Now
The U.S. Senate passed its version of a tax reform bill late last week and now Members of Congress are beginning work to reconcile differences between the House & Senate bills.  This process is what is referred to as a conference committee.

What’s to Come
The conference committee work could finish by the end of this week, but some reports suggest it being completed sometime next week (December 11-15).

Work NAR is Doing
The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) is continuing to work with Members of Congress in attempt to defeat (or at least minimize) the negative effect this tax reform legislation could have on real estate, REALTORS® and property owners nationwide.

What We Need YOU to Do
As the graphic says, please STAY TUNED!  The Call for Action that had been taking place is now closed.

NAR will be launching a new Call for Action this week (possibly today, December 4th) to address the work being done by the congressional conference committee.

Did You Participate?
In the last Call for Action, only 18% of CABR members participated.
