Be Part of Operation Sunshine 2015

How many smiles will you create this year?

Over the past 42 years, the Cincinnati Area Board of REALTORS® has funded a charitable program called “Operation Sunshine.” This program provides the ability for adults and teenagers with intellectual and developmental disabilities to attend a summer camp at Camp Allyn in Batavia. In addition to the many fun activities, the camp program provides these individuals (some struggle daily with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, seizure disorders and intellectual disabilities) with training and social skills that will lead to more enjoyable and productive lives. Contributions from REALTOR® offices help provide a picnic dinner and the other costs of going to camp.

Camp Allyn is one of the many programs of Stepping Stones. Stepping Stones serves more than 275 adults and 425 children in its summer recreation programs. Another 100+ adults with disabilities, build daily living skills and confidence in year-round adult programs.

Last year, we donated $6,000 to Stepping Stones. Let’s beat that amount this year. In the past, some individual offices have gone so far as to have their own fundraisers such as auctions and bake sales to help increase contributions. Use your imagination and have fun with it!

The minimum recommended contribution is $15 – the cost of one dinner – and it’s tax deductible! Checks should be made payable to “Operation Sunshine” and mailed to Andy Clark at CABR, 14 Knollcrest Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45237, by July 31. You can also login at to make your online contribution.
