Open Your Mind: Implicit Bias in Real Estate
April 21 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm$10
Join CABR on April 21, 2017 to celebrate FAIR HOUSING MONTH with a MAJOR event at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center brought to you by CABR, Housing Opportunities Made Equal and The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
You will participate in a workshop , involving educational and entertaining hands-on exercises. The purpose is to reveal mental blind spots that can compromise our professional and personal decisions and to begin a conversation about what might be done to help us lead the examined life to which we aspire.
April is Fair Housing Month. This event, approved for 3 hours of Ohio Civil Rights/Fair Housing CE, will explore fair housing laws, we believe that by educating REALTORS on the need for better service for all clients regardless of race, religion, or background, we are empowering them to grow a more diverse client base by making sure they are aware they must give all people the same treatment. As their client base diversifies, they are exposed to other avenues of diversity in our community. Our efforts are to enhance Realtors awareness surrounding the subjects of fair housing and implicit biases. The consumer should receive better service on their real estate transaction and encounters.
